DASHBOARD DMMU ROING
DMMU Roing operates across 5 districts — Lower Dibang Valley, Dibang Valley, Lohit, Namsai, and Anjaw — encompassing 15 blocks, including extension blocks such as Hunli-Desali, Aliney-Arzoo, and Chaglagam. Situated in the easternmost part of Arunachal Pradesh, this DMMU covers a strategically important and geographically diverse region bordered by steep mountains, river valleys, and international boundaries.
The area is inhabited by various tribes including the Idu Mishmi, Miju Mishmi, Adi, and Khamti, with livelihoods primarily based on agriculture, horticulture, and small-scale trading. Despite logistical challenges due to difficult terrain, DMMU Roing has made significant strides in rural empowerment, mobilizing over 20,000 households into 2,270 SHGs, which are federated into 143 PLFs and 9 CLFs.
Support from ArSRLM has led to improved financial access, capacity building, and a growing culture of entrepreneurship among rural women. Federations are now actively involved in PRI convergence, child welfare schemes, and sustainable community development, as reflected in impactful case studies like the Dakyon Ane Banggo CLF in Roing Block.
